If your looking for a gift or just something to read while your inside this winter, I just finished a very interesting book called "Inside a Dog: What dogs see, smell and know" by Alexandra Horowitz.  Non-fiction and informative in just what is going on inside that four legged friend of yours mind.  She has done her homework and is very well referenced. 

And a little bit ago I was given the book "Racing in the Rain" by Garth Stein.  A great story narrated from the dogs perspective about a wonderful relationship. 

And then a classic from Garrison Keillor (you get to listen to this one) "Songs of the Cat".
